Leanne Pooley to Produce feature documentary about Dame Valerie Adams.

Following her fifth Olympic Games and bronze medal shot-put win, Dame Valerie Adams will feature in a theatrical documentary examining her life and sporting career.

Eight has announced the film is in production via their long-form platform, The Story Department and is due for release in 2022.

Filmmakers say the documentary will “honour Dame Valerie as a woman who has not just survived a challenging past but taken strength from her sometimes difficult journey and turned it into greatness”.
